The offered binaries on this site are build from the offical SETI@home sources which available via the CVS or the nightly snapshots.
 
For every SETI Enhanced Mutlibeam (5.27) binary on this site the source from 7.8.2007 was used.  This source version is equal to the SETI@home Enhanced Multibeam application version 5.27. The Linux, AIX, Solaris, NetBSD and OpenBSD binaries has not needed any source code changes. For HP-UX only small changes at the source  was needed.  
 
Some of the ports including SETI@home Enhanced (5.1x) applications. The Versions 5.1x are non multibeam appillations, but still valid for use in the SETI@home project. For the SETI Enhanced (5.1x) binaries also the official source from Berkeley was used and was not modified.  
There are now three valid application versions at the SETI@home project available. SETI Enhanced (5.1x), SETI Enhanced Multibeam (5.2x and 6.0x). The difference between 5.2x and 6.0x is the separation of the graphics part from the science part in 6.0x. The science part is still the same in both versions.  
 
For the Astropulse applications the official source was used, which is equal to Astropulse 4.x/5.x. The source code changes, if needed, where documented in /opt/boinc/doc/README.astropulse in the packages.
Astropulse has log runtimes, compared with the SETI@home Enhanced Mutlibeam application. Please check the if your system met the recommended minimum hardware.
It‘s also recommended to enable the option „leave application in memory while suspended“ to avoid problem with the resuming of the application and state file handling !
 
Astropulse 4.x and 5.00 applications are now obsolated by the Astropulse 5.03 and 5.05/5.06 applications ! - Please update ! - The old application would not get any new work !
The both Astropulse applications version 5.03 and 5.05/5.06 are ran as independent project applications. If you install the Astropulse 5.06 application, install the Astropulse 5.03 application before !
