• DHCP addresses would been not automatically assigned in Dotsch/UX 1.1. Workaround : start the dhcp
client manually : „sudo dhcclient“.

• Proxy server configuration does not work correctly in Dotsch/UX 1.1 and 1.0. Workaround : start the proxy

configuration manually : „sudo /opt/dotsch_ux/configure_proxy.sh“.

I am working on a patch which fix the bugs in Dotsch/UX 1.1

• Due a failure in the bundling of the diskless server tools in Dotsch/UX1.1 x64, the PXE boot templates are
missing on the x64 distribution. Please download the files pxelinux.x64.cfg and pxelinux.i386.cfg, copy them
to the diskless server and and copy both missing files via „sudo cp pxelinux.x64.cfg /opt/dotsch_ux/
templates/“ and „sudo cp pxelinux.i386.cfg /opt/dotsch_ux/templates/“ till I have fixed this in the ISO files.

• Some problem reports arrived :

• Windows VNC clients did not work correctly

• Update manager failed on one system

• The powernowd daemon for power management and CPU scaling was not removed by me. This cause

the problem, that the CPU scaled down and did not get the full throughput.

I have updated the Dotsch/UX main page and addressed the solutions for a fix or this problems. The fixes
will included soon in a patch.

• Released Dotsch/UX 1.0. - Dotsch/UX is a Linux distribution for BOINC which easily installs and boot from
a USB stick, hard disk and from diskless clients and also has some interfaces to setup the diskless server

application (5.27) on OpenBSD i386. The application uses normal CPU usage and no update of the
CPU time and progress counter happens. If you have this problem please switch back to the SETI

Enhanced application 5.12 for OpenBSD i386 till I have found a solution for this problem.

• The SETI@home project released a new science application (SETI@home Enhanced Multibeam 6.03).
   The difference between 5.2x and 6.0x is the separation of the graphics part from the science part in 6.0x.
   The science part is still the same in both versions. So the available binaries are still producing valid
   results.

• Added some more descriptions on the SETI@home, SETI@home Beta+Astropulse Beta project, and
BOINC sites.

• Tested some more projects for the BSD Linux Compat. The Lattice Project and Cosmology@home
did not work correctly with the BSD Linux Compat.
